September 26, 2017

7:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m. ET

Sponsored by SIG 2, Neurogenic Communication Disorders

When working with speakers with dysarthria, speech-language pathologists often find it challenging to select goals that have the greatest impact on functional communication and that reflect current best practices. This web chat will focus on goal selection, treatment approaches, and the integration of treatment strategies in the context of comorbid speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The following panelists will be available to answer questions:

  • Becky Baas, MA, CCC-SLP, Division of Speech Pathology, Department of Neurology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN; Instructor in Pediatrics, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, MN
  • Heather Clark, PhD, CCC/SLP, BC-ANCDS, Chair, Division of Speech Pathology, Department of Neurology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN; Associate Professor, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, MN

This free event is open to all ASHA members (This web chat is not offered for continuing education units (CEUs).
