Getting Started

How do I access the ASHA CE Online Course Registration System?

Please go to the following website to access the ASHA CE Online Course Registration System.

Chrome and Firefox are the recommended web browsers. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer due to compatibility issues.

The login and password are created by the Continuing Education Administrator (CEA). ASHA staff will send all new CEA's a link to create a new login and password for the Continuing Education (CE) Approved CE Provider.

What types of courses can I register using the Online Course Registration System?

  • Group, Individual, and Blended learning experiences;
  • A course with one or more offerings; and
  • A course with one or more cooperative offerings for which you would make a payment online with a credit card or mail a check with the cooperative fee.

Note: The only type of course that currently cannot be registered using the Online Course Registration System is an Independent Study.

How is the Online Course Registration System organized?

The Online Course Registration System is organized into the following sections:

  • Organizational Information
  • Course Information and Description
  • Type of Learning Experience
  • CEU Information
  • Course Design
  • Planning and Instructional Personnel
  • Satisfactory Completion and Course Evaluation
  • Disclosure and Promotional Materials
  • Course Offerings (Including Cooperative Offerings)
  • Attestations

How is the Online Course Registration System different from the paper version?

The Online Course Registration System only asks the information relevant to the specific course type that is identified by the CEA. The Online Course Registration System also offers the following benefits:

  • You can enter and save a draft so you can edit it at your convenience.
  • You can copy a previously submitted course and update it with the new course information.
  • You can copy and paste information such as the course description directly into the form.
  • You can create the required attachments in Word or scan documents into PDF files and upload the files using the Online Course Registration System. The form enables you to browse your own computer files to select and upload the required attachments, or simply drag the file into the proper section.
  • You'll receive an e-mail confirmation after finalizing your course registration.
  • You'll have access to courses in progress and those have already been completed.
  • The form will calculate any associated cooperative fee(s) for you if you are registering a cooperative offering with an organization that is not an ASHA Approved CE Provider.
  • The course history will stay with the organization, not with the CEA appointed at the time of registration.

What are required fields?

Required fields are marked with a red asterisk. You must complete all required fields before submitting your course registration. If you attempt to submit the registration before completing all the required fields, the form will take you back to the section with missing information.

What documents will I need to upload to the Online Course Registration System?

There are required attachments for each submission. For group courses the form will prompt you to upload the learning outcomes, time-ordered agenda, and promotional materials. You can indicate on the form if the learning outcomes and/or time-ordered agenda are part of your promotional material, therefore can be uploaded as one document.

Additionally, if you are registering a Blended or Individual Learning Experience (Self-Study), the Online Course Registration System will also prompt you to upload the following documents when/if it is appropriate:

Where do I find the forms I need to upload for Individual Learning Experiences (Self-Study)?

The forms you need are all on the ASHA CE Providers webpage. You will need to download them to your computer and complete them prior to entering the course registration information into the Online Course Registration System. You can then browse your computer for these files and upload them directly into the Online Course Registration System.

  • For Individual Learning Experiences (Self-Studies), the form below is necessary to conduct the peer review. Guidelines for developing an Individual Learning Experience (Self-Study) and instructions for completing the form is found in the CEB Manual [PDF].
  • When you cannot determine CEUs for a course on the basis of "seat time or run time," use the Pilot Study Report Form [DOC]. Guidelines for conducting a pilot study are found in the CE Board Manual.

Can I scan all my Individual Learning Experience forms into one document?

No. You should scan your peer review forms into separate documents as follows:

Can I send my peer review forms and/or pilot study forms in the mail?

Cooperative Offerings and Payments

Why does the Online Course Registration System ask if the cooperative party is an ASHA Approved CE provider?

No cooperative offering fees are assessed when the cooperative party is an ASHA Approved CE Provider.

If the cooperative party is not an ASHA Approved CE Provider, the Online Course Registration System will calculate the cooperative offering fee based on the number of cooperative offerings that have been entered into the form.

How do I know what the fees are for cooperative offerings?

You can go to the ASHA website for a list of all ASHA CE fees; however, the Online Course Registration System will calculate the fee for you.

The form gave me the incorrect amount for the cooperative offering fee, what can I do to correct it?

If you get an incorrect total, please e-mail your CE Account Manager.

What credit card payment does the form accept?

ASHA accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, but not American Express.

How do I pay a cooperative fee by check?

Make the check payable to "American Speech-Language-Hearing Association." Mail the check and receipt to the following address:

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
P.O. Box 1160, #340
Rockville, MD 20849

Please be sure to include the provider code and course number in the memo line on the check.
