ASHA members: As an ASHA member, you have unlimited access to all four of ASHA's online journals—American Journal of Audiology (AJA); American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology (AJSLP); Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research (JSLHR); and Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools (LSHSS)—from the current issues all the way back to the beginning in 1936. ASHA members with questions about the serial publications they receive as a membership benefit should address their inquiries to Action Center at 1-800-498-2071, or e-mail actioncenter@asha.org.
Permission to make photocopies of individual articles within ASHA scholarly journals can be obtained by contacting the Copyright Clearance Center. With permission, subscribers can also use online versions of articles for course packs or distance learning classes.

JSLHR is the premier archival research publication of the professions. It includes articles pertaining to the processes and disorders of hearing, language, and speech, and to the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.

Contemporary Issues in Communication Science and Disorders (CICSD)

Published: Spring, Fall
Produced by the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, CICSD focuses on recent advances in the discipline and serves as a supplemental training tool for communication science students. As of January 1, 2010, CICSD is an online-only, open access journal.
Special Interest Groups Perspectives
Published: The publication rates for the 18 Special Interest Groups (SIG) that have a Perspectives publication varies by SIG. For information on specific Perspectives and to see Perspectives samples, visit the SIG home page. Perspectives publications focus on that SIG's specific topic area. Content includes updates on programs and initiatives and in-depth literature- or research-based articles in the field. - The name of the end user is required on all orders.
- The ASHA Leader prices include shipping and handling.
- Prices are subject to change.
- Include the publisher reference number or ID number on all orders.
- Orders must be prepaid in U.S. funds drawn from a U.S. bank.
- Purchase orders are not accepted.
As of January 1, 2010, print issues of scholarly journals were discontinued. Customers requiring print issues of those journals may request custom printing at an additional charge. Please call 800-498-6699.
How to Order Back Issues
On an as-available basis, back issues may be purchased through ASHA Product Sales. Orders must be paid with a separate check. To check availability, call 1-888-498-6699.
Claims for Missing or Damaged Issues
Claims must be made to ASHA within 4 months of publication date. Claims are accepted by mail, fax at 301-296-8590, or e-mail at subscribe@asha.org.
Canceling a Subscription
- Only subscriptions that have not started can be canceled and refunded.
- Send a written request to the attention of the Subscription Sales Coordinator at the address below.
- Allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing of refunds.
Postal Information
ASHA's serial publications are mailed via 2nd class mail, nonprofit rate. Those sent to Canada are shipped via Canadian 2nd class mail through a foreign distributor. Please allow 3 weeks for delivery. Shipping to foreign countries is handled by a separate distributor. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery.
