ASHA members: As an ASHA member, you have unlimited access to all four of ASHA's online journals—American Journal of Audiology (AJA); American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology (AJSLP); Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research (JSLHR); and Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools (LSHSS)—from the current issues all the way back to the beginning in 1936. Permission to make photocopies of individual articles within ASHA scholarly journals can be obtained by contacting the Copyright Clearance Center. With permission, subscribers can also use online versions of articles for course packs or distance learning classes.

American Journal of Audiology: A Journal of Clinical Practice (AJA)
Published: March, June, September, and December

American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology: A Journal of Clinical Practice (AJSLP)
Published: February, May, August, November

Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research (JSLHR)
Published: Monthly, starting in 2017
JSLHR is the premier archival research publication of the professions. It includes articles pertaining to the processes and disorders of hearing, language, and speech, and to the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders. To place an advertisement in JSLHR, see current rates and deadlines.
Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools (LSHSS)
Published: January, April, July, October
LSHSS presents up-to-date information on all aspects of clinical speech, language, and hearing services to children and adolescents, particularly in school settings. To place an advertisement in LSHSS, see current rates and deadlines.
The ASHA Leader
The ASHA Leader is a four-color publication on coated paper. Contents include in-depth features, news articles, classifieds, and letters related to the audiology and speech-language pathology professions. Supplements are published periodically. Contemporary Issues in Communication Science and Disorders (CICSD)
CICSD was the biannual, peer-reviewed journal of NSSLHA. It was published from 1983 to 2016.
Perspectives of the ASHA Special Interest Groups
Showcases practical information, a variety of viewpoints, useful reviews and overviews, and discussion in the discipline of communication sciences and disorders. Each of ASHA's 19 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) publishes continuously throughout the year, featuring the topics of most interest to that SIG's specific area of focus, along with providing one to four CE self-studies annually. Rates for One Year
- The name of the end user is required on all orders.
- The ASHA Leader prices include shipping and handling.
- Prices are subject to change.
- Include the publisher reference number or ID number on all orders.
- Orders must be prepaid in U.S. funds drawn from a U.S. bank.
- Purchase orders are not accepted.
As of January 1, 2010, print issues of scholarly journals were discontinued. Customers requiring print issues of those journals may request custom printing at an additional charge. Please call 800-498-6699.
Claims for Missing or Damaged Issues
Claims must be made to ASHA within 4 months of publication date. Claims are accepted by mail, fax at 301-296-8590, or e-mail at [email protected].
Canceling a Subscription
- Only subscriptions that have not started can be canceled and refunded.
- Send a written request to the attention of the Subscription Sales Coordinator at the address below.
- Allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing of refunds.
ASHA's serial publications are mailed via 2nd class mail, nonprofit rate. Those sent to Canada are shipped via Canadian 2nd class mail through a foreign distributor. Please allow 3 weeks for delivery. Shipping to foreign countries is handled by a separate distributor. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery.
