Call for Comment: Proposed Accreditation Application Fees
The Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) is seeking comment on a new application fee schedule that would go into effect January 1, 2016. CAA policy requires that academic programs are provided opportunity to comment on proposed fee increases.
Thank you to those of you who have responded to our initial Call for Comment on these Proposed Application Fees. Members of the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) read your responses and they have prompted us to provide further clarification.
- Please note the proposed changes in application fees would apply only to new and developing programs and not those programs that already are accredited by the CAA.
- We provide a more detailed justification for the proposed change in application fees in the rationale document online [PDF].
As a result, the comment period has been extended through May 30, 2014.
The peer review steps:
- Download and review the proposed application fee schedule [PDF].
- Enter your feedback comments (Please note: You may want to prepare your comments in a separate word processing program offline, then cut and paste your responses to questions on the online form).
If you are unable to provide your comments electronically, you may print out your comments and fax them to the attention of the Academic Accreditation Unit at the ASHA National Office (301-296-8570) or mail them to 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850.
