Selection Process
The selection of candidates for editor is an open process and all members of ASHA are eligible to apply. Qualifications include a strong record of research and scholarly publishing in several of the research areas covered by Contemporary Issues in Communication Science and Disorders (CICSD), as well as editorial experience as a reviewer or associate editor for other ASHA journals or other journals in the discipline.
The NSSLHA Council will be selecting their top choices for interviews. Those candidates will be invited to an interview before the Council at their meeting in November during the ASHA Convention. The Council will select the candidate for the position at this meeting. Notifications to all candidates who interview for a position will occur by the end of the year. The candidate who is selected for Editor will be required to attend an orientation with the Council in June 2014 and will assume the position of editor July 1, 2014.
The Editor will serve for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2014 ending June 30, 2017.
