Course Description: This workshop focused on walking speech-language pathologists through a clinical, evidence-based, feature matching process to help them answer the question, “Which app is best for my client?” A framework for selecting, analyzing, and modifying apps was illustrated through visual examples, videos, and case study. Identification of key features that differentiate selected augmentative and alternative communication apps was provided. The basics on customizing iPads and iPods, managing multiple devices, and using accessories to support access and durability was also discussed.
