Guide to Speech-Language Pathology Assessment for Multicultural and Bilingual Populations
This manual assists speech-language pathologists and other professionals in selecting evaluation and diagnostic tools for clients who are culturally and linguistically diverse. It offers clinicians information and descriptions of tests used with clients or for research in the areas of speech and language skills, second-language acquisition and proficiency, and academic language proficiency, including literacy skills, cognitive skills, and dialect use. Includes descriptions of (a) tests presently used and published, (b) tests presently used but no longer published, (c) tests that are being used by specific schools and are not widely available for distribution, and (d) tests in data banks that can be used for research purposes such as elaborating new tools and procedures.
