Convention Hotel Reservations
We are experiencing a heavy demand for the hotels closest
to the Los Angeles Convention Center and, as a result, some are already sold
Each city the ASHA Convention visits has its own
unique layout and logistics. In Los Angeles, there are simply fewer rooms
in the immediate vicinity of the convention center. There
are, however, still many hotels in the downtown
area that offer easy access to the center and will
have frequent shuttle service in the morning and evening. Many of the hotels in
the downtown L.A. area are more walkable than they may appear.
Please also note that in some cases, one night such as a Tuesday or Saturday may be
sold out, preventing guests from making a full stay reservation.
To help alleviate this issue, we are requesting additional rooms from hotels
that are able to offer them, which should open up some availability.
Housing for the 2017 ASHA Convention in Los Angeles is open. Spargo, Inc. is ASHA's official housing provider.
Room types and rollaway bed requests are not guaranteed by the hotels. Taxes and fees are subject to change. Some hotels may charge an early departure fee.

Looking for a Roommate?
Roommate Locator website is available to facilitate connections between ASHA Convention attendees who are looking for a hotel room to share and/or a roommate. You may sign up to be listed as a potential roommate, or you may browse the list of individuals seeking roommates. If you sign up to be listed, please be sure to remove your name once you have found a roommate.
A number of the hotels in Los Angeles are walkable from the Los Angeles Convention Center. Limited complimentary shuttle service will be provided from November 8–11 for attendees staying at ASHA hotels not within close proximity of the convention center. ADA-accessible shuttle service will be available for all ASHA hotels and any official ASHA event (i.e., ASHFoundation Fundraiser, ASHA PAC Reception, Closing Party) for those with mobility issues. View the shuttle routes and schedule [PDF] in advance to familiarize yourself. Be sure to check with your hotel when you arrive for any changes to the schedule.
ADA Hotel Rooms
All official ASHA Convention hotels comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you need an accessible hotel room, please complete the reservations process online and select "Handicap Accessible" at the step where you may indicate room preferences. A representative from ASHA's
housing company will contact you to discuss your room arrangements. Members are also welcome to contact Customer Service by e-mail at
firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 877-585-6005 or 703-449-6418 if they wish to discuss their needs with someone directly.
You will receive an acknowledgement of your reservation via e-mail. Please print or save the acknowledgement for your records. This is the only acknowledgement you will receive. If you have questions regarding your reservation or if you do not receive an e-mail acknowledgement, please contact the ASHA Registration and Housing Center at
email@example.com or 877-585-6005 or 703-449-6418.
Cancellations or Changes to
All changes and cancellations must be submitted online or in writing via e-mail to
firstname.lastname@example.org by 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time, Wednesday, October 18, 2017. After this date, you must contact your hotel directly. If you need to cancel your reservation(s), you must do so at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to your scheduled check-in
date. If you do not cancel your reservation(s) seventy-two (72) hours prior to your scheduled check-in date, your first night's deposit will not be refunded.
Cancelling your hotel reservation does not automatically cancel your ASHA Convention registration. To cancel your registration, please contact
email@example.com no later than November 1, 2017.
If you are reserving a room online and find that a hotel appears to be sold out, it may be that rooms are not available for the entire range of dates you have selected. This sometimes happens when attendees try to arrive early in the week or stay later after the Convention has concluded. You may wish to
try adjusting your dates to see if the other dates you need are available at your desired hotel. If they are, you can make a reservation for the available dates and e-mail
firstname.lastname@example.org with your reservation number and the additional dates requested. Or if you would like to speak with someone directly, you may call Customer Service at 877-585-6005 or 703-449-6418.
Wait Listing a Hotel
Attendees also have the option of adding their name to a wait list if a first choice hotel is no longer available for their selected dates. In order to be added to a hotel's wait list, you must make a valid reservation at an available hotel for your
desired dates. You will be notified if a room becomes available at your first choice hotel.
Why Book a Room Through ASHA?
In addition to the
many benefits to booking a hotel room within the ASHA block for both members and the association, staying at an ASHA hotel allows you to take advantage of our convenient shuttle service.
Unauthorized Housing Providers
Sometimes, ASHA is alerted that an
unauthorized housing company is contacting our exhibitors or attendees to inform them that they can offer less expensive room rates at hotels in our block.
