Our undergraduate students are enrolled in a two semester clinical experience as part of their bachelors degree. The first semester of clinic, they serve as a "mentee" which means they shadow a graduate student and client they are assigned to. The second semester of clinic, they are assigned a client of their own. This unique feature allows these undergraduate students to apply what they are learning in class to a clinical situation.

Clinical experiences offered through the University of Central Missouris program in Communication Disorders provides the student with experiences in the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of a diverse population of individuals with communication disorders and differences, and swallowing disorders. One of our unique features is our literacy program that evaluates children and adults with literacy difficulties and may provide treatment for these clients. UCM also has partnership with a variety of local agencies such as Head Start and Parents As Teacher.
