The CSU Speech and Hearing Program is a program in the School of Health Science. The School offers a certificate in Gerontological Studies. This is an interdisciplinary program that offers courses from other departments such as Communications, Psychology, Religion, Sociology, and Biology. This certificate offers students an opportunity to develop extensive knowledge in the area of geronotology and prepares the student to work with people who are aging.

We have unique clinical affiliations with community organizations that specialize in the treatment of the adult MR/DD population. We also have affiliations with Help Me Grow which is the state of Ohios early intervention program. We work with specialists from Help Me Grow to treat children who are language delayed and those born with hearing impairment.
