Specialty Tracks / Unique Features:
1. MWU is an all-graduate, all-healthcare university. 2. Classes are held in a state of the art speech-language pathology lab that includes two therapy demonstration areas for immediate and direct application of learned concepts. 3. Preclinical training incorporates advanced pedagogical techniques, including virtual clinical interactions, standardized patient encounters, and interprofessional experiences with students from other healthcare disciplines. 4. Initial clinical rotations are completed at the Speech-Language Institute, part of the MWU Multispecialty Clinic, a private medical facility. Students will be exposed to a wide variety of patients and work with clinical mentors with expertise in many disorder areas. They will plan and document therapy using an electronic health record system and interact with supervisors via a secure video observation system. 5.
