Published in 1990, Treatment Efficacy Research in Communication Disorders is a 265-page compilation of keynote presentations, panel discussions, and data-based treatment studies featured during an American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation-sponsored conference dedicated entirely to the topic of treatment efficacy. For new researchers and established ones, the conference was created to provide an opportunity for intense discussions and to encourage an open exploration of the hard issues that face clinical researchers. The publication includes invited speaker presentations and data-based papers. It provides speech-language pathologists and audiologists with information about treatment efficacy research conducted in a variety of speech, language, and hearing disorders.
