ASHA Clinical Specialty Recognition

ASHA is pleased to announce that the ASHA Board of Directors approved the transition of the Clinical Specialty Recognition (CSR) program to a new Clinical Specialty Certification (CSC) program beginning January 1, 2014. The CSR program will be available through December 31, 2013, and these webpages provide information for ASHA-certified individuals who wish to become board recognized specialists and for groups of ASHA members who wish to petition for a specialty area.

Our introduction will answer frequently asked questions about becoming a board recognized specialist. The overview of ASHA's Specialty Recognition Program includes the following information:
