Conducting a Cooperative Offering
If you want to offer
ASHA CEUs
for an upcoming course but are not ready (or there is
insufficient time) to apply for ASHA Approved CE Provider status,
conducting a cooperative offering with an ASHA approved CE
Provider is the way to go.
Why Conduct a Cooperative CE Offering?
Exposure and Recognition
Over 150,000 professionals each year look for the
ASHA CE Provider Brand
Block
when seeking continuing education programs to meet their needs.
The ASHA CE Provider Brand Block indicates that the program meets
high standards and offers ASHA CEUs that are applicable toward
licensure renewal, career advancement, and the
ASHA Award for Continuing Education
(ACE). Because your organization's course will be registered on
the
ASHA CE Registry, it will be listed on ASHA' s Web site through the
ASHA CE Course Search, a searchable database that lists only CE courses that are being
offered by
ASHA Approved CE Providers. The ASHA CE Course Search is updated frequently and provides
individuals with access to the more than 18,000 courses
registered annually with the ASHA CE Registry.
Become Familiar with
ASHA CEB Requirements
The cooperative CE offering process gives you an inside view
of the procedures ASHA Approved CE Providers follow when
planning, implementing, and evaluating their CE courses. After
conducting a cooperative CE offering, you can make a more
informed decision about pursuing ASHA Approved CE Provider
status.
Note:
The cooperative CE offering process was established to (a) expose
potential ASHA CE Provider applicants to ASHA CEB policies,
procedures and guidelines, and (b) enable parties who seldom
present courses to speech-language pathologists and audiologists
to offer
ASHA CEUs. Organizations that regularly offer CE activities that relate to
the practice or science of speech-language pathology or audiology
and wish to offer ASHA CEUs for those courses should
apply for ASHA Approved CE
Provider status.
