We have developed partnerships with local doctor's offices to help promote our professions and educate our community and surrounding areas about speech, language and hearing disorders, as well as developing and teaching health awareness issues. We also assist the public in developing and maintaining healthy lifestyles and wellness issues. During our annual health fair (in celebration of May is Better Hearing and Speech Month), we offer free speech/hearing screenings, and our medical staff offer free diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. This is a great way to identify children and adults with communication disorders and significant health issues and offer our services so that we can possibly prevent further decline in overall communicative and medical issues. It is so wonderful to work together as a team to increase overall health awareness and wellness in our community.
