Description:The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) was designed as a rapid screening instrument for mild cognitive dysfunction. It assesses different cognitive domains: attention and concentration, executive functions, memory, language, visuoconstructional skills, conceptual thinking, calculations, and orientation. It is currently used for detection of mild cognitive impairment in multiple conditions: MCI/Alzheimer's disease, vascular cognitive impairment, Parkinson's disease, HIV, fronto-temporal dementia, Huntington's disease, multiple sclerosis, heart failure, lung disease, REM sleep disorders, sleep apnea, substance abuse, visual impairment, brain tumors, Lupus, epilepsy.
