Audiologist or Speech-Language Pathologist

Audiologist
Professional Pupil Services License – School Audiologist
The professional pupil services license, valid for five years for working with learners at all levels, shall be issued to an individual deemed to be of good moral character who has successfully completed an approved program of preparation and meets the following requirements:
- Successful completion of an approved program of preparation
- Recommended by the dean or head of teacher education
- Successfully completed an examination prescribed by the state board of education
- Master's degree
and
- Current license to practice audiology issued by the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Continuing Education Requirement
20 clock hours of continuing education per two-year period is required to maintain state license. No additional CE is required by the state board of education.
Emergency Certification
A temporary pupil services license may be issued to an individual who is deemed to be of good moral character and who evidences a currently valid audiologist license issued by the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, provided the vacancy has been posted for two weeks and no properly licensed and suitable candidate has been identified by the employing district.
Speech-Language Pathologist
Professional Pupil Services License – School Speech-Language Pathologist
