Audiologist or Speech-Language Pathologist

Audiologist
No additional requirements for audiologists to provide services in schools, other than state licensure. Some school districts may require an educational certificate, but certification is not mandated by the state.
Speech-Language Pathologist
Initial Certificate, Speech and Language Disabilities (Valid for five years)

Continuing Education Requirement
Holders of the professional teaching certificate under the approved teacher preparation program or individual evaluation pathway must complete 175 hours of professional development every five years. Under the professional license pathway, holders must complete the following or an equivalent combination: 6 semester hours of approved college coursework; 40 hours of approved coursework or professional development activities; and 40 continuing competency hours, as defined in the licensure law.
