Required Implementation of Identity Theft Prevention Delayed Until November 1

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires health care providers to implement a policy to prevent identity theft. The compliance date was originally August 1, 2009, but the FTC recently announced that it has pushed back the date to November 1, 2009.
