ASHA Award Programs Now Accepting Applications 

  • If you are a junior faculty member interested in advancing your new teaching and research career, consider applying for the Advancing Academic Research Careers (AARC) Award. This $5,000 award is intended to support mentored teaching and research activities. Application deadline: May 15, 2014.
  • Faculty, do you have students who demonstrate curiosity about the science behind the discipline? Those students may be perfect candidates for the Students Preparing for Academic and Research Careers (SPARC) Award, developed to foster student interest in the pursuit of PhD education and careers in academia to sustain a PhD pipeline within CSD. Application deadline: May 15, 2014.
  • Encourage your audiology students to apply for the 2014 Audiology/Hearing Science Research Travel Award (ARTA) by June 1. The ARTA fosters student clinical and scientific research interests in audiology and hearing science through support for travel to attend the 2014 ASHA Convention in Orlando, Florida.

Boys Town National Research Hospital Research Training Opportunities
Boys Town National Research Hospital offers NIDCD-funded postdoctoral research training opportunities and short-term predoctoral research training opportunities for AuD students. AuD predoctoral training opportunities are also available at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and the Portland VA National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research (NCRAR).
