User Guide for HES
Step One: Verify the Academic Program Profile
Verification of the academic program profile [PDF] is requested each time an HES instrument is opened. This step refers to verifying that the information listed in the profile is accurate and complete. The profile includes the institution's name, address, Web site URL, degree programs offered, and accreditation status. The degree programs offered at the institution determine which HES instruments (i.e., surveys or reports) your program is scheduled to complete.
- It is highly recommended that the Signatory (i.e., program director) complete the program profile verification.
- If the academic program profile is accurate and complete, select "Verify." You will then land on the Status Page of the survey and see all of the sections to be completed. You may then proceed with Step Two: Assign HES Signatory and Editor Roles.
- If a change or correction to the profile is required, select "Report Change" and an e-mail box will appear to report the changes to the HES Manager at HES@asha.org. Once the changes are processed you will receive a confirmation message from the HES Manager and you may then proceed with the data entry process.
- If you feel that you are not sure you are qualified to verify the profile for all of the programs at your institution, select the "Cancel" prompt. Consult with the appropriate staff at your institution and then report any changes or verify the profile as correct.
