This is in response to the article "Persistence Pays Off for Missouri Audiologists" (Feb. 12, 2008). In Arizona, if you are an audiologist and would like to dispense hearing aids, you do not need a hearing aid dispensing license. We have combined this into a "Dispensing Audiologist" license. There is one license for audiologists who dispense hearing aids and another for audiologists who do not dispense hearing aids. This is a better option than allowing any audiologist, regardless of hearing aid experience, to dispense hearing aids.
