I thought the "Audiology in Brief" article (Feb. 12, 2008) about cholesterol affecting hearing was interesting. I have been doing some reading on nutrition lately and learned that an increase in cholesterol might not be due to a person's eating habits so much as to the level of stress in life. I would guess that people who have hearing loss have more stress than normal and therefore their cholesterol levels are higher. I found this information in Your Body Knows Best by Ann Louise Gittleman. A study to see if there is a correlation might be useful
