Every fall, the Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association, in cooperation with the Maryland State Education Department, presents a one-day in-service program for audiologists in schools. This past October 2004, the focus of that workshop was on counseling and working with parents, teachers, other school personnel, and children. The workshop was titled: "Audiologists in Schools: It’s Not Just Evaluations, Hearing Aids, and FM Systems." The workshop was presented by two pioneers in educational audiology, Rebecca Kooper and Jay R. Lucker. The following articles discuss what they presented at that workshop.
