Write to your members of Congress at ASHA's Take Action site, http://takeaction.asha.org and urge them to cosponsor the four bills listed on the Policy Issues sidebar.
At Take Action, you will find pre-formatted letters that can be edited and then sent to legislators by e-mail or by mail. If you prefer to call your elected officials, phone the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to their offices. Please include personal stories and examples. Nothing has the power of a personalized message delivered by a constituent.
