Clinical Recognition Awards

The Frank R. Kleffner Lifetime Clinical Career Award: Individuals demonstrating significant contributions to clinical science and practice over a 20-year career.

The Louis M. DiCarlo Award for Recent Clinical Achievement: Individuals demonstrating significant contributions to advancing knowledge in clinical practice within the past six years.

The Rolland J. Van Hattum Award for Contribution in the Schools: Individuals demonstrating a significant contribution to the delivery of audiology and/or speech-language pathology services in the schools.
Research Grants

New Century Scholars Research Grant: Individuals committed to teacher-investigator careers in universities or external research institutes or laboratories are eligible to compete for one $10,000 grant.

New Investigator Research Grant: New scientists earning their latest degree in communication sciences within the last five years are eligible to compete for $5,000 grants to pursue research in audiology or speech-language pathology.

Speech Science Research Grant: Investigators earning their doctorate within the last five years are eligible to compete for a $5,000 grant in speech science.

Student Research Grant in Audiology: Master's and doctoral students in communication sciences and disorders who want to conduct research in audiology are eligible to compete for a $2,000 grant for a proposed one-year study.

Student Research Grant in Early Childhood Language: Master's and doctoral students in communication sciences and disorders who want to conduct research in early childhood language development are eligible to compete for a $2,000 grant for a proposed one-year study.
Master's and Doctoral Scholarships

New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship: Students enrolled in a research/teaching doctoral program are eligible to compete for $10,000 scholarships.

Graduate Student Scholarship: Full-time graduate students in communication sciences and disorders demonstrating outstanding academic achievement are eligible to compete for $4,000 scholarships.

Student With a Disability Scholarship: Full-time graduate students with a disability who are enrolled in a communication sciences and disorders program and demonstrate outstanding academic achievement are eligible to compete for a $2,000-$4,000 scholarship.

Minority Student Scholarship: Racial/ethnic minority students who are U.S. citizens and who are accepted for graduate study in audiology or speech-language pathology are eligible to compete for a $2,000-$4,000 scholarship.

International/Minority Student Scholarship: Full-time international/minority graduate students studying communication sciences and disorders in the United States and demonstrating outstanding academic achievement are eligible to compete for a $2,000-$4,000 scholarship.
