Recognizing Alternate Program Models

I want to commend ASHA for its recognition of alternate models for PhD training programs. Scheduling flexibility, instructional flexibility utilizing multi-media, as well as improving the graduation rate in doctoral programs are only a few of the considerations in framing new models. Perhaps ASHA is realizing that there are bright, talented people out there who are simply unable to manage the strictly traditional type of doctoral program.
