Regarding Jamie Reilly's letter about the bulky titles we have in our profession, it seems to me that this is a recurring issue among SLPs. I have heard or read of some that feel we should "show our CCCs with pride!" However, I have often thought we would do just as well with CSLP, with the addition of MS or MA per personal preference. Periodically, other professionals ask me what CCC stands for, and I dutifully explain, but as I work in a hospital setting where acronyms abound, I can't expect them to remember. It's enough dealing with the SLP/ST issue in this setting.
