Fond Memories of Clinical Practice

I go far back to 1945 at the College of St. Francis in Joliet, IL, where I first encountered the field of speech-language pathology in a text written by Robert West and in a course taught by our Sister Laverne Relli OSF, who was a professor in this field at the College of St. Francis.

To have been a part of the growth of our field has indeed been a privilege. Now, at 81 years of age, I am no longer directly involved as a speech-language pathologist. However, I cannot but admit that I do miss the profession of rehabilitating those with speech and language disorders.
