The Institute of Education Sciences (IES) will host a series of webinars in August related to research funding opportunities at the National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER) and the National Center for Education Research (NCER). Four types of webinars are planned, as follows:
- Overview of the Evaluation of State and Local Education Programs and Policies Program, scheduled for: Friday, August 1, 2008, 10:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. EDT and Thursday, August 7, 2008, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. EDT
- Overview of IES Education Research Training Grants, scheduled for: Thursday, July 31, 2008, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. EDT
- Grant Writing Workshop for Development Projects, scheduled for: Monday, August 4, 2008, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. EDT
- Grant Writing Workshop for Young Investigators, scheduled for: Wednesday, August 6, 2008, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. EDT
The NCSER is one of four centers within IES and supports a comprehensive research program to promote the highest quality and rigor in research on special education and related services, and to address the full range of issues facing children with disabilities, parents of children with disabilities, school personnel, and others.
