ASHA Releases Issue Briefs on IDEA Final Regulations

ASHA has prepared issue briefs on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to further assist members in the implementation of the 2006 IDEA Part B final regulations, as follows: 
  • Personnel Qualifications 
  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Eligibility For Services 
  • Cochlear Implants 
  • Early Intervening Services 
  • Impact on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students

To access these documents please visit ASHA's IDEA Action Center. Additional issue briefs are forthcoming on topics, such as identification of specific learning disabilities; children with disabilities enrolled by their parents in private schools; and Medicaid and other third party reimbursement.
