Professional Bio

Diane is a licensed Speech Pathologist in Cincinnati Children's Hospital Division of Speech Pathology. She has a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

She currently enjoys project management, clinical work, supervising students, and assisting in research. She was instrumental in initiating service to children and adolescents in Cincinnati Children's Hospital Psychiatric Unit. She has presented locally and nationally on a variety of topics in Communication Disorders.

As a former Legislative Councilor and a current SLP Advisory Council member, Diane brings knowledge of the past and an understanding and happy anticipation of the new governance structure. She looks forward to collaborating with Ohio colleagues as part of a sounding board for the Board of Directors: identifying strengths and opportunities; and marketing our profession for continued growth.

Professional Bio

Kathy Jillson, MA, CCC-SLP, has been a consultant with Cuyahoga SERRC, now State Support Team-Region 3, since 1993. Previously, she was a Speech-Language Pathologist and Augmentative Communication Specialist in Colorado.

Ms. Jillson, contributes to OMNIE projects involving recruitment and retention to the fields of speech-language pathology and Audiology, such as ODE's Taskforce, Don't Miss the Bus and Project Inspire, included presentations at regional, state and national forums. Ms. Jillson serves on the Communication Workgroup for Early Intervention looking at the service gaps in Cuyahoga County.

Ms. Jillson is a member of the Ohio Assistive Technology Network and active in the Ohio SLP Supervisory and Audiology Network. Recently Ms. Jillson participated as Discussant in the Case (Western Reserve University) Conversations on Children in Research and Policy.
