Professional Bio

Martha Cook's professional experiences include clinical and academic instruction in communication disorders for the past nine years. She worked in public schools with students in K-12 for five years and in healthcare settings providing direct care to geriatric patients with neurologic diagnoses. She is considered to be a generalist with more focused training, skills and interest in diagnosis, treatment and research with individuals who exhibit fluency disorders. She has specialty certification in LSVT® and is a dispenser of SpeechEasy®.

She has presented at local, state and national conferences and has published in state publications. She received the ACE Award for continuing education while completing coursework toward a doctoral degree. Flexibility and the ability to recognize and accept diverse viewpoints on professional issues are her strengths.
