Professional Bio
Dr. Gary H. McCullough received his PhD from Vanderbilt University in 1997. He is currently Associate Professor at The University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He has served on program committees and best practice guideline committees for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association as well as the International Dysphagia Research Society and has been awarded research grants by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Veterans Affairs to investigate evaluation and treatment tools for individuals who suffer from swallowing problems post-stroke. He has fifteen years experience as a clinician, researcher, and teacher. He is currently PI for an R03 entitled "Treatment of Dysphagia Using the Mendelsohn Maneuver" and co-investigator on an R01 entitled "Real-time Internet Evaluation of Oropharyngeal Swallowing Function."
