Professional Bio

Since 1979, I have been dually certified and have, over the years, practiced speech-language pathology and audiology in both medical and educational settings. Participation in the North Carolina Speech, Language and Hearing Association has been critical to my professional development and I have served in nearly every capacity including president. I was on the Legislative Council when the vote was taken to change to a new governance structure and am a member of the first Audiology Advisory Council. There is much to do and I believe my years of experience and my training have prepared me to play an active and meaningful role in how audiology (and speech-language pathology) will move forward to meet the needs of our members and our clientele.
