Linda Guenette received her Master's degree in Audiology in 1978. She began her career as an educational audiologist in a large school system in Vermont. Subsequently she was employed in a community hospital and later at a medical school in Massachusetts. She has worked at the University of Connecticut Communication Sciences Department since 1995 as a clinical supervisor in audiology. She has been active with the Connecticut Speech Language Hearing Association since 1998, and served as the Vice President for Governmental Affairs from 1999 until 2007. This position provided experience working with lobbyists and legislators, as well as working as part of a team and communicating with members of the Association on issues relevant to our profession and those persons with communication handicaps that we serve.
