Professional Bio

Barbara Bush is an Associate Professor at Alabama A&M University's Communicative Sciences and Disorders Program where she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses and supervises in the Speech and Hearing Clinic. Dr. Bush completed her BS in Speech Pathology and MS in Audiology at the University of Southern Mississippi and Doctor of Audiology at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Professional work experience includes: Audiology Program Specialist and Audiologist, Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services; Audiology Consultant; Audiologist, Huntsville Rehabilitation Center; Clinical Instructor, Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Bush was awarded the AAA Scholar Award and ASHA ACE Award. Dr. Bush currently serves on the North Alabama Perinatal Advisory Council and was elected Deaf and Hard of Hearing Councilor for the Speech and Hearing Association of Alabama.
