Responsible to the Vice President for Science and Research

Research and Scientific Affairs Committee

Committee Charge

Develop, promote, and periodically update, a Research Agenda for the Association; identify critical emerging research needs in human communication processes and disorders; recommend Association research and scientific policies; advocate for increased research funding in human communication sciences and disorders; identify and address issues relevant to research education and training, including continuing education; develop and implement programs to recruit and retain scientists in the Association; collaborate and consult with the National Office staff, specifically the Science and Research Unit, to determine strategies and workplans to implement Association Strategic Initiatives related to science and research; and collaborate and consult with the National Office staff on all Association initiatives and policies that relate to research and scientific activities.
