Nancy Alarcon

Chair of the Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Council

Nancy Alarcon, MS, CCC-SLP, is an ASHA Fellow and a former Legislative Councilor. She has served as the Chair of the Committee on Honors and Chair of the Council for Clinical Specialty Recognition. She has also served on the Coordinating Committee for the Vice President for Quality of Service in Speech-Language Pathology and has actively participated on ASHA's Personnel Shortage and Workload Cadres.

Ms. Alarcon is a senior lecturer in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of Washington and is the director of the university's Speech and Hearing Clinic. She received her BS from Purdue University and her MS from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She maintains a Board Certification (Adult) from the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences.
