Closing Party – The Field Museum

Saturday, November 22
6:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.

Join your colleagues for a memorable wrap-up event where you can say goodbye to friends as the convention draws to an end. This year, the closing party will be held at The Field Museum, Chicago's renowned natural history museum with views overlooking Lake Michigan and the downtown skyline.

Originally founded as the Columbian Museum of Chicago, the Field Museum, renamed after benefactor Marshall Field, was incorporated in 1893 with the purpose of "accumulation and dissemination of knowledge, and the preservation and exhibition of objects illustrating art, archaeology, science and history." And for ASHA, it will be the place to be on Saturday for a taste of Chicago!

The party will be held in Stanley Field Hall and on the Balcony. Stanley Field Hall is also home to Sue, the world's largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil yet discovered. Party attendees will have the opportunity to explore the museum, including a special temporary exhibit.

Don't miss this special event at a famous Chicago venue. Food and drinks will be served. Tickets are complimentary to registered members, $25 for guests. Space is limited so order your tickets early when completing the registration form.

Shuttle buses will leave McCormick Place West at 5:30 pm to transport attendees directly to the Field Museum. Individuals departing from hotels or locations other than McCormick Place West will need to take public transportation or a taxi to the event. Shuttles will take party attendees back to the ASHA hotels after the event.
