Earning the ACE

How to earn an ACE

You receive an Award for Continuing Education (ACE) by earning 7.0 ASHA CEUs (70 contact hours) within a 36-month period. These CEUs may be obtained from any combination of the following areas of study: Basic Communication Processes Area, Professional Area or Related Area.

Did you know that the Learn & Earn: Earning Academic Credit program allows you to earn ASHA CEUs for academic courses? Details and registration materials are available under Learning Your Way.

Getting your ACE

The ACE is automatically awarded to individuals who have earned 7.0 ASHA CEUs within a current 36 month period (i.e., those earned in the preceding 3-year period). Award notification is sent via postal mail. Within the package, you will find an order form for an ACE Certificate.

Validity of the ACE

The Award certificate and participant’s CE Registry transcript indicate the award date and the valid-through date. The ACE is valid for 3 years from the award date.

For more information on the ASHA ACE, please e-mail Continuing Education or phone:
