EXEMPT
The purpose of this position is to manage the administrative and data entry functions of an integrated, browser-based Higher Education Data System (HES), designed to collect, store and report data on academic programs in communication sciences and disorders. Responsibilities include launching survey instruments through the HES, monitoring the collection of data from academic programs through the online system, providing support services to end-users and stakeholders of the system and training others on the administrative uses of the system.
Responsibilities
- Serve as team leader of the HES Implementation Team to coordinate the standard operating procedures and quality management of the HES administrative processes.
- Launch specific online survey instruments and manage the administrative aspects of the data collection process. Implement pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities (e.g., create and update system access codes and accounts for constituents, manage standardized communications that are a component of the HES, report on survey response rates, facilitate the evaluation of each survey instance).
- Provide the first line of support to end users by responding to inquiries about the administrative and data entry functions of the HES. Consult with subject matter experts when necessary to facilitate responses to internal and external inquiries about individual survey instruments. Track inquiries, provide reports and make recommendations about administrative and technical functions.
- Serve as the primary system liaison with the Information Systems team (IS) for resolution of issues/bugs and coordinate the activities of ASHA staff and external stakeholders for design, testing and implementation of changes to the application.
- Manage the HES Web pages by contributing to Web content development for posting HES information to the ASHA Web site (e.g., announcements, FAQs, tip sheets, HELP features and reports).
- Develop and provide training protocols for the administrative and data entry functions of the HES to key staff, end users, and external liaisons.
- Assist with the preparation of standard reports generated from the HES.
Qualifications
Knowledge and skills typically acquired through:
- Earned Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Two or more years of experience with end user support of computer software applications used for database administration and data entry functions
Scope and depth of technical skills/knowledge:
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency with database applications, spreadsheets, word processing and/or business applications including netForum, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Demonstrated knowledge of the structure and functionality of integrated databases
- Demonstrated knowledge of HTML and Web-page design
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts orally and in writing to professionals and non-professionals
- Experience with higher education programs and personnel

Salary: $58,140 - $64,600
