Associate Director, N-CEP

EXEMPT

The purpose of this position is to serve as the lead staff in the development and implementation of the association's activities in the area of treatment outcomes research, including the development and maintenance of current knowledge concerning research, new initiatives, and funding resources relevant to the conduct and reporting of clinical outcomes and efficacy research in communication sciences and disorders and related disciplines. 

Responsibilities

  1. Lead teams of staff and volunteer members in the development and implementation of outcomes research projects, including measure development, training, recruiting, and communications.
  2. Develop scholarly manuscripts and other publications based on findings from this research.
  3. Prepare presentations and present to ASHA committees and boards and at professional and scientific meetings.
  4. Advise the N-CEP Director on factors affecting the need for and use of treatment outcomes data.

Qualifications

Knowledge typically acquired through:

  • Master's degree or higher in communication sciences & disorders with demonstrated research
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech- Language Pathology

Scope and depth of technical knowledge:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software applications

Scope and depth of non-technical skills/knowledge:

  • Functions well in a team environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking to professional and scientific audiences
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Salary: $77,220 - $85,800
