Meet the ASHA S.T.E.P. Mentoring Program Coaches

Charlet Beale provides administrative support to ASHA's Office of Multicultural Affairs as well as serves as a S.T.E.P. mentoring coach. Her duties include resource development, tracking, organizing, and preparing correspondence for program participants as well as preparing and compiling program reports. Melanie Johnson is responsible for career awareness and membership recruitment. Her role in student affairs is to expand the knowledge of the professions among students, counselors, and others interested in CSD careers. She also serves as a S.T.E.P. mentoring coach. In that role she is responsible for program recruitment, S.T.E.P. Community management, and troubleshooting communication between mentees and mentors. Please contact Melanie at step@asha.org.

Andrea "Deedee" Moxley works to create, collect, and disseminate resources for working with diverse populations, and she supports ASHA's efforts to recruit historically underrepresented populations into CSD. Her role as  S.T.E.P. mentoring  coach is to match mentees to mentors, disseminate information to program participants, and serve as a mentoring resource. She also supports the Facebook and Twitter components of the S.T.E.P. program.
