Aphasia Group Activity

Treatment Tip

With a group of 2 or more aphasic patients, turn to one patient and ask specific questions about one of the others in the group (i.e., what does John do for a living?). With this activity, the patient has to formulate the question, repeat the answer to the group, and continue the questioning until he gets the complete answer. The clinician can keep things going by asking for more details. It is a fun exercise for everyone.
