| Description: | The RBS-NA is a screening test of early oral language skills using narrative retell. This adaptation of the original UK version by Catherin Renfrew (1969) was standardized on a sample of US children. Quantitative scores on retells include number of key words/concepts from original story (information), mean of 5 longest utterances (sentence length), number of complex utterances (complexity), and amount of prompting needed (independence). In addition, qualitative indicators are included. |
