Preparing for the Praxis and the GRE Workshops Available at the ASHA Convention ETS Praxis Series

ETS Praxis™ Workshop: Preparing for the Praxis II® Tests in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology

Saturday, November 17
8:30 – 4:00pm

This prep session for Praxis II ®, licensure candidates will work with tools provided by Educational Testing Services (ETS) to familiarize the participant with the tests, including test specifications and descriptions, using study guides and score reports. Participants will also analyze Praxis II test questions, discuss strategies for success using The Praxis Series™ smart tips, and gain a solid understanding of how to develop individualized study plans for success.

Certified trainers from ETS familiar with the test content and development will conduct this workshop.

The workshop fee of $145 includes an audiology or speech-pathology practice test and study guide materials.

Students may register for the ETS Praxis™ Workshops through ASHA Convention registration.

Course content developed independently by ETS, without ASHA input.

Saturday, November 17
8:30 – 4:00pm

How important is the GRE for graduate school admissions? What's on the test, how long does it take to complete, how do I register, where do I take it, and how is it scored? What kinds of question types will you see on the test and how can you prepare yourself for optimal performance? This workshop will answer these questions for you, teach you how to approach challenging critical reasoning questions, and help you put together a study plan to do your best on the GRE.

Certified trainers from Kaplan familiar with the test content and development will conduct this workshop.

The workshop is FREE for students registered for the ASHA Convention. Tickets will be available in the NSSLHA Lounge.

NSSLHA is celebrating its 40th anniversary at the NSSLHA Luncheon and Awards Ceremony on Friday, November 16, 2012, during NSSLHA Day at the ASHA Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. We need all NSSLHA chapters to help us mark this significant milestone by participating in our new Charge up Your Chapter contests!
