120117 - featureIt can be a challenge to draw children with autism spectrum disorders out of their own worlds—into the classroom and onto the playground. As a result, peer interactions and social skills are a growing focus of communication sciences and disorders professionals. Some are training typically developing children to involve peers with ASDs in play or using social stories to teach children with ASDs how to interact more successfully with peers.
