Medicare Seeking Input for Quality Reporting Programs

(July 7, 2014)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is seeking volunteer providers to participate in e-mail or phone interviews about quality reporting programs for:

  • Long-Term Care Hospitals (LTCHs)
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs)
  • Hospice Care

Speech-language pathologists who are interested should contact Health Care Innovation Services at

Interviews will be conducted in the months of July and August, and a comprehensive list of questions will be provided prior to the interview. Resulting reports will not contain provider-specific information, such as name or location.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) established that CMS implement quality reporting programs in various facilities. The interviews are intended to assist CMS with priorities, burdens, impact on patient services, and possible improvements with the program or process.
